Your needle valve depressor digger must only be hand-tightened when being connected. Over tigtnening using a wrench may damage the gaskets or fitting, creating a leak!!!
1/4" Fitting:
- Hand-tighten the female body swivel fitting on the tool to the system access port.
- Push the Valve Core Removal Tool Stem Assembly and rotate the stem until it locks onto the valve core.
- Continue to push while rotating the stem counter-clockwise until the valve core is loosened completely.
- Pull the stem away from the service port to remove the valve core, close the ball valve and unscrew the stem from the tool.
- The male port where the stem unscrewed now has maximum flow. Use this port for service hose attachement.
- The side port may be used to attach vacuum or pressure gauges.
5/16" fitting:
To use the 5/16" Mini-Split fitting:
- Hand tighten the 5/16" fitting to the system first.
- Then screw on the valve core tool to this fitting.
- Follow steps 2-6 above.
